Harold Hamm To Buy Remaining Stake In Continental Resources, Take It Private

Continental Resources say it's reached a $27 billion deal with the founder and majority shareholder, Harold Hamm, who plans to buy the rest of the company and take it private over 50 years after the company's inception.

Continental Resources says it's reached an agreement with founder and majority shareholder Harold Hamm to buy the rest of the company and take it private.

Hamm founded the oil and gas company in 1967 before taking it public 40 years later.

He and his family already own more than 77 percent of it and Hamm remains Chairman.

The deal is valued at $27 billion.
