Police Locate Mother Of Child Found Walking Along Road In Tulsa

Police say the mother of the child who was found walking along a Tulsa road has been located.

According to police, the family lives about a block away from where the child was found.

Police and DHS say they will continue to investigate how the child got out of the house.

DHS officials say the child will stay another family member as the investigation continues.

The Tulsa Police Department is looking to find the parents of a child who was found walking along South Peoria Avenue in Tulsa.

According to police, officers received a call that a child had been seen walking near East 61st Street and South Peoria Avenue.

Police say the child appears to be around 2 years of age and was wearing a red shirt and a diaper at the time they were found.

Officers are now searching for the child's guardian in a nearby neighborhood.

Anyone with information on the identity of the lost child is asked to call the police.
