Revamped Digital Identity Verification System Launched By The OESC

The Oklahoma Employment Security Commission now has a new tool to help people file for unemployment.

VerifyOK first launched in 2020 to speed up the process and help fight unemployment fraud, which climbed during the pandemic.

The newly revamped system now requires those filing to take a live capture of their face to match their ID.

IDs will also be cross-matched with every state's DMV, not just Oklahoma's.

If the name on the account doesn't match the name on the ID, it will be flagged for review.
