If you're hoping to impress your guests this year, you can take a class to learn how to cook a Thanksgiving dinner.
Oklahoma Joe's started hosting cooking classes last year. The next class is happening on Monday, November 7. Jason Rains teaches the class and says the first one started with three people. Now, it's capped at 50 and they've started selling out the past few months.
"We've grown and it's kind of a social event and we've got people that come every month and look forward to it, so it's very fun,” Rains said.
Each month is different. The last class was Halloween-themed, Monday is Thanksgiving, and next month is New Year's. Rains says for the class, he will teach seven recipes including an appetizer, proteins, side dishes, and a dessert. Class attendees also get to eat the meal and drink a cocktail. Rains says classes like this with simple recipes help take the intimidation out of cooking and make it something light-hearted and fun.
"I would tell them the biggest thing is just don't ever be scared. Don't ever be scared to cook anything. Jump in and do it,” Rains said.

Rains will be representing Oklahoma Joe's in the World Food Championships next week. He hopes to take some new skills back to town for future classes.
