Gov. Stitt Creates Child Welfare Task Force

Governor Kevin Stitt is creating a child welfare task force as the first order of his second term. The group will recommend policies and laws that reduce the time children spend in the foster system.

The group would aim to keep children from repeatedly entering the foster care system, and try to offer them a path to a more stable way of life.

The governor's office also aid the group would point out ways to help keep families together, and offer support for biological parents.
