Oklahoma State is the no. 1 overall seed in the National Invitational Tournament (NIT) after narrowly missing out on the 2023 NCAA Tournament on Sunday.

The Cowboys will host Youngstown State at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Oklahoma State fell just one spot short of securing an appearance in the 2023 NCAA Tournament, which secured the top spot in the NIT.

The NIT is a 32-team tournament featuring teams that did were not invited or did not qualify for the major tournament.

The NIT finals are in New Orleans On March 28 and 30.

The Cowboys finished 18-15 (8-10 Big 12) with a NET rank of 43.

Mississippi State, Pittsburgh, Arizona State and Nevada were the last four teams to make the tournament.
