Tulsa Police say officers will be keeping a close eye on Boeing Park near Admiral and Mingo after getting several complaints from residents in the area.

Police say people have complained about vandalism, reckless driving, shots fired, noise and littering at the park.

Tulsa Police wrote more than a dozen tickets and arrested a man at Boeing Park, after responding to complaints from the neighborhood about vandalism, reckless driving and gunfire.

Officers arrested Daric Winkler after witnessing him doing a “burnout” on a public street, they said, and when he was detained they found a weapon and marijuana in his truck. Officers said he admitted to using marijuana just before the encounter.

The park buildings have been sprayed with graffiti and the grounds damaged by people driving in circles throughout the park.

Police said they issued 13 tickets on Sunday, for driving without a license and having an open container of alcohol, in addition to making the arrest.
