Tulsa Police Release New Details About Man Accused Of Assaulting Officer

Tulsa Police have released new details about a man accused of assaulting an officer with his belt on Monday.

According to police, Joseph Mallard attacked an officer when she got out of her vehicle on Monday.

Police say Mallard hit the officer with a belt that had a metal buckle and punched her several times in the face, knocking off her glasses.

Mallard was booked into jail for assault and battery, assault and battery on a police officer, malicious mischief and vandalism.
