It’s put on by Kilkenny’s Irish Pub. People are decked out in green and ready to celebrate on Cherry Street all in the spirit of culture and fun. It all started before 9 a.m. Friday when people lined up outside Kilkenny's for the early opening.
Matthew Forbes and his wife were some of the first in line and said they always come for the St. Patrick's Day party.
"I play pipes here, the food is great, and the atmosphere is fantastic. The people are friendly. We're spokesmen for the Scottish and the Irish,” Forbes said.
You can sit inside and enjoy some food and drinks or walk down the street with live music.
From ax-throwing to arts and crafts, there are many things for your family to enjoy together.
"We have a lot of activities, so for the kids, we have bouncy houses, we have face painting. We have so many activities for them to keep them entertained. For adults, we have of course, our wonderful Guinness and our wonderful beers that we serve,” said Kilkenny’s server Michelle Salazar.
Whether you're of Irish descent or Irish for the day, St. Patrick's Day is known to bring people together for a good time.
The event will go until 11 p.m.
