The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office has extra deputies to keep an eye out for drunk drivers on this Saint Patrick’s Day.

Bigger crowds are expected around Tulsa with more people in town because of college wrestling.

Deputies said when it comes to DUI’s, Saint Patrick’s Day compares to other holidays like New Year’s Eve and Independence Day.

Crowds are expected to be even bigger once the matches finish up at the BOK Center as part of the NCAA wrestling national championships.

“We don’t want to catch people off guard,” said Casey Roebuck, a spokesperson for the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office. “We’re letting them know that we’re going to be out focusing on this.”

Grant money is being used to pay for the overtime worked by deputies.
