The McCurtain Memorial Hospital is being evacuated after a bomb threat Tuesday.
McCurtain Memorial Hospital posted this statement:
At Approximately 14:45PM, McCurtain Memorial Hospital received a call with a bomb threat, claiming that a bomb was planted at the hospital last evening. A demand was made or else, the bomb would be detonated.
Immediately, law enforcement was notified and evacuation procedures were put into place. All patients are safe and have been relocated to an offsite location which we will not be releasing at this time.
Within minutes, law enforcement from city, county and state agencies were on site at MMH.
The administration will release additional details when they are available. At this time, the hospital has no further comment.
The hospital was placed on lockdown Monday due to protests. The lockdown was in response to protests of the McCurtain officials who were recorded allegedly talking about racist and violent themes.
