Woman Accused Of Punching EMSA Worker Through Open Ambulance Window Arrested

A woman is in jail after police say she walked up to an ambulance and punched an EMSA worker through an open window.

Police say it happened around 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday at a QuikTrip near East 41st Street and Memorial Drive.

According to police, two EMSA workers were sitting in their vehicle awaiting a call when Prisila Platzer allegedly walked up to their vehicle and punched one of the workers, before running away.

Police say they arrived on scene and found Platzer hiding in some bushes behind the store.

Police say they believe Platzer targeted the EMSA personnel.

Platzer was arrested for assault and battery on a medical provider.
