The man convicted in the 1999 disappearance of two girls from Welch is being released early from prison.
The Oklahoma Department of Corrections confirmed that Ronnie Busick has been getting credit for time served and will be released on May 19. In 2020, Busick pleaded guilty to accessory to murder in the disappearance and presumed deaths of 16-year-olds Lauria Bible and Ashley Freeman.
A judge sentenced Busick to 10 years in prison and 5 years probation. The girls' bodies still have not been found.
