An off-duty firefighter was in the right place at the right time on Wednesday when he helped save a man from a burning apartment in Tulsa.
Fire officials say the fire started in a first floor apartment at the Malibu south complex near East 31st Street and South Yale Avenue.
Officials say the off-duty fireman was at a nearby business when he saw the fire, went over and knocked the door down and pulled that man out.
The victim was then taken to the hospital.
The Red Cross says it is helping people from nine apartments affected by the fire as investigators work to figure out how it broke out.
