Tulsa firefighters were called to the scene of an early-morning house fire on Wednesday.
Crews say the blaze broke out around 4 a.m. near East 46th Street North and Highway 75.
Fire officials say the fire was contained to a backroom and houses near by were not damaged.
According to fire officials, nobody was home at the time the blaze broke out, but one family pet died in the fire
The Red Cross responded to help with the aftermath of the fire.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
