An arrest warrant has been issued for a man accused of a kidnapping and robbery last month in Midwest City.

An arrest affidavit said on April 1, 2023, Midwest City Police responded to an armed robbery near Reno Avenue and North Midwest Boulevard.

The victims told police that they were meeting with a man who they had been talking to on the social media app Snapchat to sell some shoes.

The victims said that when they arrived to sell the shoes, the suspect walked up to their vehicle as one of the victims was getting out of the vehicle.

When the victim opened the passenger door to show the man the shoes, the suspect hit the victim on the head with a gun barrel and pushed him into the vehicle.

The suspect then got into the driver’s seat and started driving as he was pointing a gun at both of the victims inside.

The affidavit said the suspect then told them to give him their money before patting them both down.

The suspect got upset at the victims for not having any cash on them and continued driving them around the neighborhood at gunpoint.

Then, the suspect told the victims to leave the vehicle before he counted down from five, telling them he would shoot them.

Both victims exited the car and ran to a house to call 911, and the suspect drove away.

One of the victim’s phones was still inside the vehicle, and police were able to track it.

Oklahoma City Police were in pursuit of the suspect before they called it off due to him driving at a high speed and cutting in and out of traffic.

Midwest City Police saw the vehicle before they tried to initiate a traffic stop.

The vehicle then fled again at a high rate of speed, but police were still tracking the vehicle.

The suspect then drove into the neighborhood of the initial robbery when he abandoned the vehicle with all of the doors open.

Officers then engaged in a foot chase with the suspect at a park in the area, but they lost him.

Police then investigated the suspect’s phone, which was left inside of the vehicle.

While investigating, police tracked down the suspect’s name through different social media accounts and the Jail Tracker.

The robbery victims identified 20-year-old Latrell Mensah as the suspect after police showed them a series of photos, the affidavit said.

Mensah is wanted on the complaints of robbery with a dangerous weapon, kidnapping, larceny of an automobile, possession of a firearm while on probation and driving with a license canceled, suspended or revoked, according to the affidavit.
