The Tulsa Police Department is joining a nationwide project to help prevent police misconduct and improve police culture.

The ABLE Project was created by Georgetown University and teaches officers how to intervene when fellow officers make a mistake or do something wrong. ABLE stands for Active Bystandership for Law Enforcement and TPD says all of their instructors are already certified by ABLE. In the next few months, all officers will go through eight hours of bystander training.
