First Responders Given $13M In Grant Money From Cherokee Nation

The Cherokee Nation is giving $13 million in grant money to help first responders.

The tribe is providing $50,000 to the sheriff's offices, police departments, paramedics and fire departments to help them buy any tools they need.

The Cherokee Nation says it works with about 260 city and county agencies.

The tribe says it's also invested millions of dollars to expand its marshal service.
