FC Tulsa fought off an early onslaught by Louisville City FC on Wednesday to win their first game since April.
Tulsa struggled a bit in the opening which led to Louisville's first goal of the match when Manny Perez found Jorge Gonzales. Tulsa kept pushing and finally, Eric Bird was able to score the first goal for the team in the 77th minute of play. Then the newly acquired Phillip Goodrum managed to score in dramatic fashion with just moments to go in his FC Tulsa debut.
FC Tulsa now finds itself in playoff position with plenty of time left to make a move up the ranks. The club now travels to Monterey Bay F.C. for a match on May 31.
