Brothers' 3-Run HR Caps ORU Comeback In Win Over TCU At Men's College World Series

Blaze Brothers crushed a three-run homer to left field in the top of the 9th to cap a Game 1-winning comeback, 6-5, for Oral Roberts at the Men's College World Series in Omaha on Friday.

With the Game 1 win, ORU will play Florida at 6 p.m. on Sunday. The Gators beat Virginia 6-5 Friday night.

TCU (42-23) will play the loser between the Cavaliers and the Gators at 1 p.m. on Sunday in an elimination game. The College World Series is a double-elimination tournament until the championship series, which is a best 2-out-of-3 playoff.

Texas Christian had taken a 5-2 lead in the 8th after exploding for three runs. One of those runs was scored on a bases-loaded walk. The second was scored on a batter hit-by-pitch, and the third was scored on a sacrifice fly.

ORU (52-12) fell behind 1-0 in the fourth inning on a Cole Fontenelle home run but took a 2-1 lead in the top of the 6th on a Mac McCroskey homer to right.

TCU tied it up in the bottom of the 6th before scoring three in the 8th.
