Police Arrest Man Who Allegedly Tried To Break Into ATM With Saw

Tulsa Police say a man is in custody on Tuesday morning accused of trying to saw his way into an ATM.

According to police, officers got a call around 2:30 a.m. from someone claiming that they heard someone sawing and told officers that they thought someone was trying to break into an ATM near East 21st Street and South Sheridan Road.

When police arrived on scene, they say a man tried to run away but was caught. Upon further investigation, police say they found saw marks on the ATM.

Police say they believe another man may have run off into a nearby neighborhood. Officers used a helicopter to try and track them down but did not find anyone.
