State Of Emergency Declaration Helps Prevent Price Gouging

The emergency declaration will help prevent price gouging.

The declaration makes it illegal for businesses to raise prices by more than 10% on goods and services and allows the Attorney General to charge anyone who does.

The anti-price gouging measure runs until 30 days after the emergency declaration expires. The measure also affects repairs, remodeling and construction prices for another 180 days after that.
