Tulsa Beats Oklahoma Christian In An Exhibition Game, 74-60

The Tulsa Golden Hurricane open the season Monday at home against Central Arkansas.

TULSA, Oklahoma -

Year 2 of the Eric Konkol era at Tulsa opened with a 74-60 win over Oklahoma Christian University Wednesday night at the Reynolds Center in TU's only exhibition game.

Tulsa now has a 70-2 record in exhibition games.

Cobe Williams led the way for the Golden Hurricane with 22 points. Tulsa held an 8-point lead at halftime while leading by as many 10 points twice in the first 20 minutes. In the second half, the Hurricane took its first double-digit lead at the 17:17 mark on a PJ Haggerty three-pointer for a 40-28 advantage.

Tulsa held a double-digit lead through most of the second half, leading by as many as 16 points at the 13:16 mark.

Tulsa opens the regular season Monday at home against the Central Arkansas Bears.

Game time is set for 7 p.m.
