The City of Bartlesville created a brand-new committee to work on various projects throughout the city.
The new "Keep Bartlesville Beautiful" committee will be tasked with helping the city's parks board in beautifying all aspects of Bartlesville.
This includes working on the city's parks, trail systems, sidewalks, and even the roads.
It also takes some of the burden off the city's parks board with more members able to work on various projects.
While the committee will be led by some city leaders, there will also be opportunities for Bartlesville citizens to get involved.
The committee also hopes to work with other nonprofits on the projects they plan to start.
"The City of Bartlesville again, has so many wonderful nonprofits. It is truly blessed to have those. So having a committee to help coordinate all these things together are really gonna drive a lot of beautification projects as we move along. And it’s really exciting for our community to have that," said Larry Curtis, Bartlesville Community Development Director.
The committee hopes to fill out its staff made up of a city council member, a parks board member, and a few other members by the end of this year.
Anyone who lives in Bartlesville's city limits can apply to be on the committee. CLICK HERE for the application.
