People lined up Thursday morning for the Toys for Tots distribution in Broken Arrow.
From bikes, stuffed animals and toy trucks. There's several toys to put smiles on kids' faces this holiday season.
Gunnery Sgt. Lowell Jones, Toys for Tots coordinator, said the U.S. Marine Corps will be distributing more than 14,000 toys to the families of Tulsa and surrounding counties.
Since 1947, the Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign mission has been to collect new, unwrapped toys each holiday for less fortunate children in the local community.
The U.S. Marine Corps began giving out toys on Thursday morning, but you could see cars lining up overnight.
There has been a huge response, and several streets are closed to accommodate all of the traffic.
The distribution is happening at the Broken Arrow Armed Forces Reserve Center, and it's only open to invited families or individuals.
People had to submit an application and get approved for toys, and then those individuals would be contacted to let them know when to come get their toys.
That application window has already closed for this year.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid this area both Thursday and Friday due to the traffic.
This distribution will be happening again Friday morning, Dec. 15, with drivers also expected to start lining up early in the morning.
