An Oklahoma biker group spent part of their holiday weekend helping raise money to fight child abuse.

The Oklahoma Chapter of "Bikers Against Child Abuse" was in Broken Arrow on Saturday at the intersection of Houston and Aspen to collect donations from drivers.

The group said part of its mission is to empower children to not be afraid of the world they live in.

"If the perpetrator is still harassing the child, we'll stand in that child's yard 24 hours a day, rain, sleet or shine," said Matt "Scoop" Green with BACA.

They said all abused children are considered members of the group.

Members work with state and local groups while standing by the obstacle between a child and his or her abuser.
