A unique new podcast is sharing what goes on behind-the-scenes in Tulsa's food and beverage industries.
From the soil to the table, "Chew. Sip. Repeat." is about more than just food.
Christina Winkle said on her podcast, you'll find interviews with local professionals like restaurant owners, chefs and bartenders.
But she also wants to use her platform to bring awareness to how food is cultivated with farmers and ranchers.
"The growing of food, right. We can't eat food that's just made. It has to be grown and cultivated. And how are farmers and ranchers navigating through, you know, a more volatile climate at the moment," Winkle said. "It's just something that I'm really passionate about and I really think that those conversations should be had. And I hope that people enjoy them and want to know more about who is growing, making and providing their food in front of them."
Winkle said she hopes to bring on guests like the Oklahoma Food Bank CEO to discuss important issues, including food desert concerns in North Tulsa, and what's being done to address it.
