Tulsa Public Schools' Board Candidates Hold Forum At University Of Tulsa

It was a packed house at the University of Tulsa on Saturday for a forum with Tulsa Public Schools' board candidates.

Hundreds of people showed up for the accountability session as candidates talked about their education priorities.

Organizers said community forums like this are important in helping voters learn about the people they might pick to represent them.

"I hope they leave feeling inspired to get out and vote in April, and to get more involved, and most importantly just to strike up a conversation with neighbors, community members about what matters," said Action Tulsa Volunteer leader Claire Tomm.

People also got to bring up their own concerns and issues to see what candidates had to say.
