A shopping event that helps parents save and make money is back in Tulsa.
Just Between Friends Kids Consignment is having its spring event this weekend inside the Exchange Center at Expo Square.
Parents can find new and gently used items for their kids between 50-90% off retail value.
"Everything is so expensive," said Just Between Friends Director of Operations Angie Crone. "That is how we stand out because everything that we have is so affordable."
She has been a consignor at this event for 7 years.
"As a consignor, you get to come and sell your items, and a lot of people, the money that they make, they use that money to buy what they need for their kids," said Crone.
From wall to wall, rack to rack, and table to table there is plenty to choose from.
"We have clothes, shoes, accessories, baby equipment like car seats, strollers, cribs, bassinets, baby carriers, we even have bikes, toys and lots of books and games," Crone said
It is shopping at a discounted price with the same high standards.
"Everything that comes through the door has to be inspected," Crone said. "We only allow gently used or new items."
Megan Adams is also a consignor but brought her daughter along with her to go shopping. "She just loves shopping, so it is fun," she said. "She picked out a little mini toy."
Adams said she uses the money she makes from the consignment event towards clothes, but also to plan vacations and fun activities she can do with her kids.
"I had probably 15 tubs of kids' clothes just sitting in my garage and then finally I was like, I am not having any more kids so might as well sell them, make some extra money, and help somebody else with cheaper almost new clothes," she added.
These moms said it was a rewarding feeling.
"You get to actually make money for your family, but you are also helping other families because you are making it affordable for their budget," said Crone.
The Just Between Friends Kids Consignment is Thursday, February 29 through Saturday, March 2 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, March 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
There is no cost to get in. More information can be found HERE
