City of Collinsville To Vote On $93M Bond Issue For School Construction Projects

Voters in Collinsville will decide on a more than $93 million bond package in August that will mostly go to expanding the school district. The proposals include adding class space, a new grade school, and more.

Voters in Collinsville will decide on a more than $93-million bond package in August.

If passed, the money would go to several construction projects for the school district. More than $22 million is set aside to add classroom space, and a storm shelter to the high school. There are also plans to build a new grade school and early childhood education center.

About $13 million would go toward making improvements to several sports fields.

The election is August 27th.
