Bixby Public Schools is demanding an apology from State Superintendent Ryan Walters after he suggested the district was struggling financially.
Walters told reporters at the State Board of Education meeting this week that his office is dealing with all kinds of financial problems related to the Bixby school district.

Bixby says its most recent audit had no material findings and only one suggestion.
The district also says the district's annual bond rating earned an AA-Stable rating in May. That means the school is financially stable.
Bixby says it refutes Walters' claims, and says he defamed the professionals at the district.
Bixby also says its audits and bond ratings are posted on the district's website.
