A Tulsa boy and his mom say a bike the boy uses for physical therapy was stolen from outside their door, even though it was chained up.

Kaiden Dixon says he couldn't believe it when he saw his bike was stolen, and he just wants whoever took it to bring it back.

It's painted his favorite color, red, and helps him with strengthening his legs.

"I raced all up and down the parking lot, I almost fell off the bike because I was going so fast on a turn," he said.

When he's not using it, it stays chained up with a lock outside of his apartment door near 5th and Lewis.

He and his mom, Ashley, were startled the other day when they walked out of their apartment door and saw the bike was gone.

"It's heavy, I was just shocked because it would take a lot to tug it out of here," Ashley Harlin said.

Ashley says this bike really helps Kaiden with things like his motor skills, and this one was even more special because it was made uniquely just for him.

She says it was a donation and can't easily be replaced. She says the bike is worth up to $5,000.

"Everybody makes mistakes, stealing is wrong, but this bike was special, for a special person," she said.

Kaiden says he's mad someone would do this and take away something that makes him so happy, but he's even more sad for the thief that they thought this was okay.

"Why'd you take my bike, why?" he said.

Ashley says she has filed a police report.
