As students at Berryhill Public Schools return to the class Wednesday morning, officials say they are excited to show students the new additions at campuses across the district.
The district said Berryhill faculty are energized and excited for a new school year, and can not wait to welcome their students back this morning.
Berryhill Public Schools Assistant Superintendent Julie Belk said the district wrapped up several construction projects from a recent bond issue, so there won't be any construction throughout the schools.
Some of those projects include the remodeling of parking lots, renovations to the Berryhill High School library, new turf for the football field and updated technology for students.
Belk says this year, the district will be implementing a new communication system for Pre-K through 12th grade.
Berryhill is also offering Muskogee Creek language courses through the Creek Nation, AP chemistry for high school students, and Spanish for middle school students.
Belk says a major goal across the district is to foster growth in students, so that they can become productive individuals.
The first bell rings at 7:55 a.m. for elementary, middle, and high school students.
