'She Was Everybody's Cheerleader:' Parents Hold On To Memories Of 20-Year-Old Daughter

A Claremore mom and dad are holding onto the good memories of their 20-year-old daughter, who died in a crash this week. 

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Chloe Aycock was driving just outside of town on 4170 road when she veered off the road and hit a tree. 

Chloe's parents, Lisa and Shawn Aycock, say Chloe lived and breathed rodeo. She has been riding horses since she was two and has competed in barrel racing for more than 10 years. That was her life. But, they say what made Chloe special is she was everyone’s cheerleader, even cheering on her competitors. 

Lisa says Chloe would race four to five nights a week in local jackpots and in other races across Oklahoma and Texas. 

“She would draw checks and she would get buckles. If there was an event that she could drive to she was there. That’s what she loved to do,” said Lisa. 

Chloe and her family moved to Oklahoma from Florida five years ago, and Chloe fell in love with Sooner State. Her parents say when Chloe wasn’t racing her own horse, she was helping others, teaching kids how to ride and supporting her friends. 

“She was everybody’s cheerleader you know what I mean. It didn’t matter if they were beating her,” said Shawn. 

Her parents say Chloe was just a pleasure to be around. They say Chloe competed and won in Rodeo Queen competitions, was a licensed cosmetologist, and even with all of her racing, always found time to help others. 

“It makes me feel good to know she’s touched that many people's lives. She had an impact on so many people,” said Lisa. 

Chloe’s family plans to have a service for her this weekend here at Faith Holiness Tabernacle and they want anyone who knew and loved Chloe, to come. 

“Hold your babies man. Kiss them and tell them you love them,” said Shawn.
