Jenks Trojans Host Scrimmages To Prepare For Football Season

The Jenks Trojans are hosting two schools for a scrimmage at Allan Trimble Stadium Friday evening.

Coaches say they are working on easing their players into the start of the season.

It’s an exciting time because it’s Friday night and there’s lights and a field and some football going on at Allan Trimble Stadium.

It may not be the real thing just yet, but it’s the Trojan Preview where Jenks is playing host to Choctaw and Bentonville in a couple of scrimmages. There’s a lot of new faces both with players and coaching staff this season at Jenks, and they haven’t wanted to put too much pressure on learning everything immediately.

The Trojans will kick off their season at the stadium next Friday and the only thing on their mind is that Class 6A 1 state football title that Bixby has hoisted in the air the last few seasons.

The team told us during fall camp that they’re hunting them down and ultimately looking to be the hunted next season. We’re just seven days away from the high school football season, and this is everyone’s last chance to get prepped and ready for those games that matter.
