Gov. Stitt Opposes Federal Restrictions On Price Gouging

Gov. Kevin Stitt appeared on CBS 's 'Face the Nation' on Sunday to discuss why he opposes federal restrictions on price gouging.

This is in response to Kamala Harris's campaign calling for restrictions on price jumps.

Stitt explained why there are some limitations on an Oklahoma level, especially after severe weather rolls through.

"If there's a tornado that comes through one of our communities, we don't want out-of-state people coming in and price gouging as far as roofing, materials. So when I a national, an executive order and say this area of the state has been hurt ... It's for a short period ... of time, it's maybe for a month and that's to protect the people from ... people coming in ... to try and make money off of this disaster."

Stitt also says those reactions are different than what the Harris campaign is recommending.
