A family in Osage lost everything they owned in a house fire, just months before they welcomed their new baby.
They don't know what started the fire and are overwhelmed trying to figure out what's next.
Arizona woke up to a loud cackling noise last week and when she realized her house was on fire, she knew she had to get her son, boyfriend, and dogs out of the house as fast as she could.
“Everything was a blur, it's just smoke and heat and a blur,” she said.
Arizona and her boyfriend Lane Washbourne climbed through a window to get out with Arizona's son, and Lane went back in to try and save their dogs, but they lost two of them.
He says he felt helpless watching the fire destroy everything.
“It was so big we couldn't even do anything out here, you think maybe I can get a water hose and try to save my own house, but it starts burning so fast, and so hot that you really can't do anything,” he said.
Arizona is just months away from welcoming their new baby boy into the family.
This will be the fourth little boy between the couple, so they're trying to find a place where they all can live.
Her dad lived with them when he was in town and he's working on a rebuild, but it won't be big enough for their growing family, long term.
She says one of the hardest things is losing all the memories and keepsakes she's saved over the years.
“Fire spreads so fast, and it can take so fast, but it happens so slow, to just watch that flame crawl across your house and take everything you own,” she said.
The couple says they feel defeated in what should be such a happy time.
“Bringing a baby into this is a lot, and I don't want to say I'm not excited because I'll always be excited, but it's like it took my joy from me for this, you know,” Arizona said.
A GoFundMe has been created to help the family, HERE.
