Tulsa Man Arrested, Accused Of Arson At Apartment Complex

Firefighters said two dogs helped catch a Tulsa man accused of intentionally setting a fire at an apartment complex.

Investigators said Willie Marshall started a fire near 61st and Peoria Monday morning.

Firefighters quickly put it out and called the fire marshal and arson dog to investigate.

That led investigators to Marshall, who authorities said tried to run away. So, a TPD K9 officer helped take him into custody.

"Incredible work by that team to get an arrest do that hard work within 12 hours and have someone in jail for threatening the lives of others," said Chief Michael Baker with Tulsa Fire.

Marshall is facing arson charges as well as running from police and resisting arrest.
