A badger peeked its head out of its den long enough for Les Vandeaver to snap a few great pictures.
This was in Osage County where Les and his wife love to drive around taking pictures of wildlife.
In Oklahoma, badgers are primarily found in western parts of the state where soil is deep and easily burrowed.
These guys are notorious diggers and fighters. They're not super social, so they're usually spotted alone.
The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation has more Badger facts on its website.
