BROKEN ARROW, Okla. -

The water line rupture that caused a road closure in the 2700 block of South Aspen Avenue has been repaired, according to the City of Broken Arrow.

The city said 900 feet of Aspen Avenue between Washington Street (91st) and New Orleans Street (101st) remains closed as crews continue filling the trench and covering it with a safe drivable surface.

They hope to open some of Aspen Avenue on Saturday but encourage drivers to detour Aspen Avenue between Washington Street and New Orleans Street via Olive Avenue to the west and Elm Place to the east while they make repairs.
