Oklahoma State linebacker and All-Big 12 standout Nick Martin is now officially in the NFL.

The San Francisco 49ers selected him Friday night with the 75th overall pick in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

A Look At His Journey

Martin emerged as one of the most productive defenders in college football during the 2023 season.

The Texarkana, Texas native led the Big 12 with 140 total tackles—Oklahoma State’s highest single-season total in nearly 40 years.

He added 16 tackles for loss, six sacks, two interceptions, and a forced fumble, earning first-team All-Big 12 honors and cementing his reputation as the heart of the Cowboys’ defense.

Final Season Adversity

Despite suffering a season-ending knee injury five games into the 2024 season, Martin still managed 47 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, and a sack. Over his career in Stillwater, he totaled 203 tackles, 24 tackles for loss, seven sacks, two interceptions, and two forced fumbles.
