The Green Bay Packers on Day 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft, selected Oklahoma State’s Collins Oliver with the 159th overall pick, just one round after adding Texas edge rusher Barryn Sorrell.
Oliver (6-2, 240), a three-time second-team All-Big 12 selection, brings proven production and explosiveness to Green Bay’s front seven. An Oklahoma City native, Oliver burst onto the scene in 2021 by earning Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year honors and freshman All-America recognition after posting 11.5 sacks and 15.5 tackles for loss, setting a new OSU freshman sack record.
Throughout his college career, Oliver was a consistent disruptor, finishing fifth in Oklahoma State history with 22.5 sacks and ninth with 38.5 tackles for loss. His 4.56-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine showcased his rare speed for his size. A respected leader, Oliver was voted team captain and earned Defensive MVP honors multiple times during the 2023 season while posting 73 tackles, six sacks, 15.5 TFLs, and four forced fumbles.
Despite a foot injury limiting him to two games in 2024, Oliver’s production, athleticism, and versatility — having played both defensive end and linebacker — make him a strong addition to the Packers’ retooled pass rush.
