Tulsa police arrested a man Monday night following a standoff at an apartment complex near 51st Street and South Yale Avenue.
Officers responded to a call about a man firing projectiles at his girlfriend. Police say the woman was able to get out safely. When officers arrived, the man allegedly fired pepper balls at them as well.
Police returned fire with pepper balls through the windows, but the man remained inside. Officers later entered the apartment and took him into custody.
He was taken to a hospital for evaluation and is expected to face domestic violence charges and multiple assault with a dangerous weapon charges, according to police.
