Arkansas man killed after truck falls 50 feet off of I-40 near Muldrow

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says an Arkansas man died in a crash on I-40 Tuesday morning.

Troopers say 47-year-old Derick Turner of Paris, Arkansas, was about two miles east of Muldrow when his semi-truck went off the highway and crashed through a cable barrier.

Troopers say the truck then continued East in the center median, where it crashed through a concrete wall and fell about 50 feet onto Highway 64.

They say the truck then came to a stop and caught on fire.

Troopers say Turner died at the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
