News On 6 says goodbye to Kristen Weaver

It's a bittersweet weekend at News On 6. We are saying goodbye to Kristen Weaver.

She has made the decision to move back home to the Dallas area. She has accepted a job at a city nearby as a media specialist, and she’s excited to start planning a wedding and having more time with family.

She started at News On 6 six years ago and has since reported all over the state, became the weekend morning anchor in 2022, and turning her love of food and local restaurants into a highly successful and beloved segment, Flavor of Oklahoma.

She says she loves telling stories, but above all, she loves the people who work at News On 6.

It was the hardest choice to make, but she can't wait for this next chapter.

Her message to the viewers: You all make this job worth it. With your bravery to tell stories, your kindness, and your comments, it's why we do this job. Thank you for being so supportive and for making the weekend show what it is. I am forever grateful to have been a part of your Saturday and Sunday morning routine.
