18 servings, two crackers each
Ingredients:
2 apples, peeled and diced
2 pears, peeled and diced
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
1 small red onion, peeled and diced
1/2 C. cranberries soaked in orange juice
12/ C. orange juice
2 T. cornstarch
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
1/3 C. roasted chopped pecans
8 oz. smoked turkey, julienne cut
36 sesame seed crackers
Directions:
In a heavy saucepan, combine apples, pears, pepper, onion and cranberries. Sauté 5 minutes. In a small bowl, combine orange juice and cornstarch. Add to fruit mixture, along with cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and pecans. Simmer 30 minutes. Place turkey on crackers. Top with chutney.
