More signatures against House Bill 1804 are sitting on Governor Henry's desk. Leaders from several faiths joined together on Monday at the Oklahoma Capitol. The group gave the governor's office thousands of signed pledges of resistance against the new immigration law.

Catholics, Muslims, and Baptists are coming out against the legislation.

"The highest law we can follow is the law of loving our neighbor. Even if that neighbor is a stranger and an illegal alien. I hate to use the word alien because they're not from another planet. So, now you'll even notice that the Southern Baptist Convention has taken a stand," said Pastor Robin Meyers with Mayflower UCC Church.

The group also handed out blank pledges for others to take to their places of worship for others to sign.
