Power has been restored to all but about 6,000 customers in the Tulsa metro area. The bad news is that those 6,000 are going on their 11th day without power. It is estimated that half of them will need some kind of repair to their home.
OG&E says 25,000 of its customers are in the dark, 2,200 of those are in northeastern Oklahoma.
In addition, utility crews with the rural electric cooperatives have restored power to all but about 3,500 customers. Twenty-eight-hundred of those are with the Verdigris Valley Electric's coverage area.
