OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Spirit Aerosystems says it will add 200 to 300 jobs in Oklahoma during the next year to build parts for Boeing jets.

Spirit currently has about 1,300 employees at plants in Tulsa and McAlester. The plants were formerly owned by Boeing and were sold to Onex, which then created Spirit to run them.

Spirit officials says the new employees are needed because of an increase in orders for Boeing airplanes. The workers will assemble wing components on the planes.
