Tulsa Police say a man is killed over his "place in line" at an east Tulsa taco stand early Sunday morning.

It’s the city's 19th homicide this year. That is more than twice the number of homicides of last year at this time.

The shooting happened just before 1 AM near 21st Street and 109th East Avenue. News on 6 reporter Ashli Sims says a stop for a late-night snack turned deadly for one man in east Tulsa.

Police say 22-year-old Gabriel Gonzales was waiting at the La Fondita Taco Stand, when he got in an argument with another man over who was first in line. Tulsa Police Captain Brett Bailey: "there is no indication right now that they knew each other. They did exchange some words back and forth. And that's when the shooter pulled his gun and fired at him."

Officers say the shooter took off in a red extended cab Nissan pickup. They say a woman and two small children were also inside the truck. Tulsa Police say Gonzales was taken to the hospital by ambulance in critical condition, where he later died.

Folks were also standing in line at a Tulsa grocery store at 91st and Memorial when another shooting happened, this time Tulsa Police say the shooter was a customer and the person shot, an armed robbery suspect.

Customer Colby Burns: "just really surprised this far south in Tulsa I know there are armed robberies but this is such a large store and I guess there were two or three people involved so I was really surprised."

Police say two armed men walking into a Homeland store Saturday night and demanded money from the cash register. Officers say one of the customers in line was carrying a gun with a concealed weapons permit. Tulsa Police say he fired at one of the suspects, hitting him in the leg, but the two got away, driving off in a white four-door Oldsmobile. No one else inside the store was hurt.

Tulsa Police are still looking for the white Oldsmobile and the red extended cab Nissan pickup truck in the east Tulsa shooting.
